CLEAN WATER SERVICES: ENGINEER - CONVEYANCE SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT
Pay Range: $81,266.00 - $111,741.00 Annually
Closing Date: Continuous
Under general direction, this position performs advanced professional project management, serves as a project engineer on difficult, complex projects; applies advanced engineering knowledge to the solution of design, maintenance, improvement and construction problems pertaining to the District infrastructure and private development; may seal engineering plans with manager authorization; and performs related duties as assigned. Some positions may focus on flow monitoring and modeling in the sanitary sewer system.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledges, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the KSAs would be:

Increasingly responsible project management experience including leadership roles and staff supervision experience;

Increasingly responsible experience in design and/or construction of major sanitary or surface water capital projects including conveyance systems or wastewater treatment systems;

Customarily candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in civil, sanitary, or environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a related field.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Upon selection, candidate must possess and maintain a valid State issued driver's license. Candidates must possess current registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon at time of application or possess current registration as a Professional Engineer in another state and obtain registration in the State of Oregon within six months of hire.

The Role:

RH2 Engineering, Inc., is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Portland office. This is a fast-paced administrative position that requires a team player who shows initiative and takes ownership of their areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate will bring together top-notch organizational, multi tasking, and problem-solving skills, along with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality. Preferred candidates will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to meet short deadlines with minimal supervision. Previous experience working in an engineering consulting firm or within a related field is preferred.
Essential Duties:
• Daily office administrative tasks including: functioning as the receptionist, schedule meetings in Microsoft Outlook, coordinate and setup video and telephone conference calls via RingCentral, assist with travel arrangements, process incoming/outgoing mail, maintain office supplies, facility maintenance oversight, office organization, and project filing.
• Assist staff with the preparation of letters, memoranda, reports, specifications, and related technical documents from rough drafts to final product. Coordinate staff reviews and signatures as needed. Copy, collate, scan, and prepare material for distribution as requested.
• Assist staff with entering timesheets and/or expense reports into accounting software.
• Assist staff with tracking Oregon Professional Development continuing education hours.
• Assist administrative staff in other offices when time and workload permits.
• Coordinate office social events.
• Conduct research on various topics.
Qualifications:
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive administrative responsibilities in a professional office setting
• Demonstrable proofing and editing skills, with previous experience proofing a variety of technical documents a plus
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and tackle tasks head-on amid changing priorities while consistently delivering results within changing deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and organizational skills, both analytical and problem solving
• Exceptional interpersonal skills: accessible, approachable, and able to interface with clients, peers, and technical professionals on all levels; experience working in distributed work environment where other key members of team are in remote offices a plus
• Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, experience in preparing, editing, and formatting large documents in Word and Excel a plus.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in creating, compiling, and editing of PDF documents; knowledge of Adobe products a plus
